Dana Mitchell is a native of Dallas, Texas. She received her master’s degree from the University of Texas in Arlington in 1994. She is a licensed clinical social worker who began her career in mental health working for the Dallas County Juvenile Department. Since that time, Dana has served countless numbers of children and families throughout Dallas County. Dana has also served as an adjunct professor at Dallas County Community College District, Eastfield Campus, Texas A&M Commerce and her last position at the University of North Texas in Dallas. She is currently a Therapist in private practice in Mesquite where she lives and serves clients suffering from life stressors, depression, bipolar disorder, couples, family and marriage counseling. Dana has also worked with the Military Service members and clients suffering from trauma due the critical incidents. Dana has been honored by the PTA with a lifetime membership, the NAACP Mesquite, the National Volunteer Award because of her service with nonprofit agencies. Dana is currently married to her husband, Bill, of 25 years and has two beautiful daughters who attend University of North Texas in Denton. Dana has always had a desire to empower women, promote strong marriages and encourage all to reach their highest goals. Her moto “Change your mind change your life.”
